HOMETOWN'S 10th ANNUAL CEO DAY AT THE CAPITOL SENDS A STRONG MESSAGE!

More than 40 rural hospital leaders heard first hand about Georgia's budget woes during HomeTown's CEO Day at the Capitol on Feb 4th.   Key legislative leaders like LT. Governor Casey Cagle. Senator Jack Hill, Representative Mickey Channel and the Governors Healthcare policy advisors all had the same message: Huge budget shortfalls leave only two options - either a provider tax or a 16% Medicaid budget cut.  HomeTown Health hospital member voices were heard loud and clear, "neither is an option - many won't survive further cuts".  All hospitals were urged to strengthen their relationships with legislators and contact them immediately to explain why rural and safety net hospitals must be exempt from any provider taxes or any future reimbursement cuts.   TAKE ACTION!  CALL YOUR LEGISLATOR TODAY - Tell him why he should support a tobacco tax rather than a provider tax on his local hospital!  See the link below for the contact information  for your senator or representative.
